The Power of Empty Space in Photography

This was one of those photos that stood out to me because of how empty it felt.
The sheep and lamb only take up a small part of the frame, but that’s what made the shot work for me. The amount of open space around them makes the landscape feel much bigger and harsher, while also making them feel calm and completely natural in the environment.
A lot of the time, people focus on filling a frame with detail in photography, but I think empty space can sometimes have more impact than a busy image. It changes the scale of the scene and makes your eyes focus differently.
What I liked most about this photo was how still everything felt. No dramatic weather, no movement, no chaos. Just a quiet moment in a huge landscape.
Sometimes simple images end up being the ones you look at the longest.
